Pink Floyd, vinyl hunting and craft beer with Ivar Storm Peersen from Enslaved

15. - 19. September 2026.

Join us on a unique music journey to London and Cambridge – the cities where the Pink Floyd story began. With us is expert guide Ivar Storm Peersen, known as Ivar Bjørnson from the internationally acclaimed band Enslaved. Ivar is one of Norway’s most knowledgeable music historians, combining insight, experience, and a special passion for both Pink Floyd and Britain’s musical heritage. Throughout the trip, he will share stories, perspectives, and small surprises only an active musician can provide.

During the tour, we explore iconic locations from the lives of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, and David Gilmour, meet local guide Colin, and experience the atmosphere of neighbourhoods full of rock history. We stroll through classic pubs, visit legendary studios, and walk in the footsteps of the band. And for vinyl lovers, this is the ultimate treasure hunt – from tiny, packed specialty shops in Soho to massive record havens in Camden.

This is a journey filled with music, history, warm storytelling, and moments you will carry with you long after the final chord has faded.

Program

  • Day 1: Tuesday 15. September - Arrival in London & the first pint

We meet and check into a centrally located hotel, placing the city right at our doorstep. After some time to settle in, we head to one of the classic pubs, the intimate and historic Lamb & Flag in Covent Garden, for a group dinner. After the meal, the group gathers as Ivar welcomes you with a light and inspiring introduction to Pink Floyd, London, and the musical environment the band grew out of. The evening is about arriving, connecting, and finding the right mood.

  • Day 2 : Wednesday 16. September - Cambridge - back to the beginning

Today we travel to Cambridge, the city where Pink Floyd took its very first steps. We start in the beautiful area around Grantchester Meadows before stopping outside David Gilmour’s house and continuing toward King’s College, which inspired the song Shine On You Crazy Diamond. At Mill Pond, we see one of the early gathering spots for the band, and along the way, we visit historical music locations and shops where the members bought instruments in their youth.

After lunch, we continue to the school areas attended by both Waters and Barrett, and to their childhood homes. We also visit the house where Syd Barrett lived in the years after leaving Pink Floyd, as well as the location where the cover of the album Ummagumma was photographed. In the afternoon, we return to London to see additional Pink Floyd sites, including Alexandra Palace, Archway – where the band held early rehearsals – and Britannia Row Studios. A small surprise awaits, and Ivar shares stories from a life dedicated to music – always a personal and popular highlight.

  • Day 3: Thursday 17. September - Pink Floyd in London

We begin the day in St John’s Wood and visit the area around Abbey Road Studios before continuing to Regent Street Polytechnic, where Pink Floyd played some of their early concerts. On the way, we see Advision Studios, the legendary Speakeasy, and the iconic UFO Club, the centre of London’s psychedelic scene. We then continue to Denmark Street, the city’s famous guitar street, before heading into Soho to see Syd Barrett’s former residence, his favourite cafés, the Marquee Club, Trident Studios, and Ronnie Scott’s.

After lunch, we dive into one of the true highlights of the trip: vinyl hunting in Soho and Camden. These shops overflow with rare pressings, alternative editions, and pure nostalgia. The evening ends in Camden, home to a wide selection of pubs and restaurants buzzing with music and atmosphere.

  • Day 4: Friday 18. September - Prog rock, markets, and brewery visit

We start the day in Notting Hill, visiting All Saints – where Pink Floyd once served as the house band – and their early management offices, before stopping by Island Studios. After a relaxed lunch, we head to Camden, where the Roundhouse and the vibrant Camden Market offer culture, shopping, and musical delights.

The rest of the day is more flexible. Choose between more vinyl hunting, exploring historic music pubs like Hawley Arms, Good Mixer, and Dublin Castle, or combining Notting Hill and Camden with a visit to the local Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick. In the evening, we meet for a farewell dinner at one of London’s best gastropubs, The Harwood Arms in Fulham. Ivar wraps up the tour with reflections and stories.

  • Day 5: Saturday 19. September - Departure

We enjoy a calm breakfast together before heading home, with vinyl in our suitcases, music in our heads, and Pink Floyd vibes in our hearts.
