Program

  • Day 1: September 21st – Welcome to Norway!

Your Norwegian adventure begins in Oslo. You’ll meet your tour leader by the iconic tiger statue outside Oslo Central Station before boarding the coach and heading west.

As the city fades behind you, the landscape transforms—flat fields give way to winding valleys and rising mountains. Welcome to Numedal, the Medieval Valley and home to Nevada Berg.

We begin on a high note with a private lunch at Nevada’s farm, Koto. Nestled among trees and historic buildings dating back to the 1600s, Koto is the heart of Nevada’s culinary storytelling. Here, you’ll taste dishes straight from her kitchen and the surrounding region, and get to know Nevada in the place that inspires her work.

After lunch, we continue through the valley and over the mountains to Geilo, a charming alpine village. Our hotel is a cozy, mountainside spa resort with interiors inspired by traditional Norwegian cottages.

In the evening, we visit Hol Ysteri, a local dairy, for a behind-the-scenes look at cheesemaking. Watch the process through large viewing windows and enjoy a dinner featuring their handcrafted cheeses and regional ingredients.

Today, we journey westward, crossing the dramatic Hardangervidda mountain plateau. As we descend, the scenery transforms—rolling hills give way to towering cliffs, deep valleys, and cascading waterfalls. This is the gateway to Hardanger, one of Norway’s most breathtaking fjord regions and the country’s cider capital.

We arrive in the charming village of Utne, nestled along the fjord, where we check into the historic Utne Hotel—one of Norway’s oldest continuously operating hotels. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, with creaky wooden floors and views of the fjord from nearly every window.
